Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Nature’s Feast - Essential Wellness - Poultry and some other store-bought cat foods?
  • 88% of the formula is REAL premium cuts of poultry… because your cat needs a high-protein diet for their healthy joints and muscles, and soft, silky coat.
  • It’s naturally delicious… With turkey, duck, goose, and quail as the first four ingredients, even picky eaters love the flavor.
  • It’s FREE from artificial preservatives and synthetic vitamins and mineral powders… We naturally keep our food fresh — that way, your cat can easily absorb the nutrients from REAL meat, veggies, fruits, and seeds.
  • It’s minimally processed, not blasted with high heat… We freeze-dry our food so it’s full of nutrients, bursting with savory flavor, and has a fresh, irresistible texture.
Is grain-free food ok for cats?

Your cat is an obligate carnivore, meaning they need a diet high in meat protein to survive and thrive.1

However many commercial grain-free cat foods are packed with ingredients like wheat and corn. As you can imagine, these ingredients are not as high in protein as the real meat your cat naturally craves.

That’s why Nature’s Feast is made with premium cuts of real turkey, duck, goose, and quail to support your cat’s vital organs and kitten-like vitality. (And create an irresistible blend of flavors even picky eaters love!)

Of course, it’s always a good idea to talk to your veterinarian before starting your cat on a new diet.

Why is this formula freeze-dried?

Many cat food companies cook their food at high temperatures, which can destroy many of the nutrients.

Instead, we gently freeze-dry Nature’s Feast to help protect the nutrients your cat needs and the delicious flavor they love.

How do I serve Nature's Feast to my cat?

If your cat likes dry food, Nature’s Feast is ready for them to enjoy the moment you scoop it from the bag.

But if they prefer wet food, it’s easy to prepare. Just combine 2 parts Premium Origin with 1 part water. Then let the food sit for 3 minutes before mixing it up and serving it to your eager cat.

Do I need to refrigerate Dr. Marty Nature’s Feast?

You do not! Because Nature’s Feast is freeze-dried, a bag will keep for up to 3 months in the pantry after it’s been opened, so there’s no need to make space in the fridge.

Not to mention, the bags are extremely lightweight and they zip to seal, so they’re easy to store. (And there’s no need to fuss with stacks of cans or heavy cat food containers.)

What if it doesn’t work for my cat? Is there a guarantee?

Absolutely. If you and your veterinarian don’t see a noticeable improvement in your cat’s health and happiness, please let us know. You can send back the unused portion any time within 90 days, and we’ll return your purchase price, hassle-free — guaranteed.

Where can I buy Nature’s Feast?

Nature’s Feast is currently available for purchase on our official website. If you see Nature’s Feast on Amazon, Walmart, or another retailer, please, do not purchase it. Listings from these 3rd party websites can not be guaranteed as authentic and will not include our 90-day money-back guarantee.

My 18 year old cat, Buddy has been experiencing digestive issues with dry & canned ” good quality” food. Gave Dr Marty’s dried poultry & he loves it He prefers it dry so I keep his bowl full for him to eat whenever. No more messes! I have a couple of cases of cans & a bag of dry food to donate now. It’s pretty pricy for this old lady, but he & I enjoy each other & I want to keep him a bit longer. 😻

  5. 5 out of 5 My 19 year old cat loves this food

    Rita Mayell

My cat has been raised on a raw diet for years but bone became too difficult for her with 4 teeth. I switched to canned food. Some days she would eat, other days not. I wanted her back on raw. I tried several other freeze dried formulas. She walked away. I put it in bone broth, salmon but not interested. I watched Dr Marty and knew he was telling the truth and in desperation I ordered a bag. She is used to wet food but when it came I opened the bag to see if she would eat it as a treat. She gobbled up. I was thrilled. She followed me into the kitchen and out her head into the bag. She was down to 6 pounds. Today she weighs almost 8 and is her happy self. I could not be more pleased.

  9. 5 out of 5 My picky kitty LOVES Dr. Marty's freeze dried food!

    Wendie

Ok, all cats are picky…or they’re not a cat…. right? But my kitty, Loulou, is REALLY picky. I took a chance buying Dr. Marty’s freeze dried Chicken food. How would I introduce it to her? Well, My husband said to just give it to her at night. Loulou has her own room upstairs at night. We always put a little dried food for her up there. The next morning we looked to see if she ate any. She finished it all off! She loved it! It was that easy. I have worried about the food I was giving her, even thought it was well researched and thought out. But as you said, there isn’t anyone who actually makes sure the food is good for our pets. We just hope it is. Thank you so much for your food. and I love your emails. The Cat Olympic email was my favorite so far.

  10. 4 out of 5 Took some time for cat to get used to.

    Randy Beth-Eve Yaskal Pitrowski

At first even mixed with food she would have nothing of it. Now 2 bags later if mixed with food she will finish it. Her coat is better as is her awareness. She is 14.

  11. 5 out of 5 My cats love it!

    Sharilyn Miller

My cats are picky. I buy only the best quality cat food and I’ve tried various brands, but my cats will often turn their noses up. A lot of food is wasted, and that’s frustrating. So far, they’ve been gobbling up Dr Marty’s food and they seem to be thriving, so I’m going to continue with it.

  12. 5 out of 5 They Love It!

    Christine Souter

Have tried ‘healthy’ food for my 3 kitties that they would have nothing to do with. Was expecting the same with Dr. Marty. However, they love this! I mix Dr. Marty with wet food and Spooky will eat the Dr. Marty and leave the rest! It smells good and definitely has good ingredients. Need to increase my order!

My cat, Kiki, has been eating Nature’s Feast now for around 5 months. I tried adding a little water to eat initially but she didn’t like it that way. Now I just give it to her dry and that’s her favorite way to eat it. What I have noticed is how much softer her fur has become. But the biggest change is in her breath which used to be super fishy smelling. That odor is completely gone now.

  15. 5 out of 5 Nature's Feast can't be Beat!

    Jeanne Richards

As our cat, Jackson’s, “parents,” Johnny and I have always been into healthful living ourselves and have long sought the most healthful food for him. When I first received information from Dr. Marty and read about his goal to find a satisfactory, healthful and life extending food for animals, I was immediately convinced that this was a food I wanted to try. After receiving my first bag, I started Jackson, “cold turkey” on it. He was a little cautious initially but it didn’t take long before he was also convinced that this new grub was a good thing. He had never liked wet food EVER, but now the first thing he does is lap up all the juice in the bowl before consuming the morsels entirely! I am absolutely overjoyed with his reaction to the food and the results I am seeing in him. I even shared a bag with a friend who has two cats and she said they just love the food and as soon as they hear her open the bag they both begin meowing in unison. What a testimonial, huh? Now, a little bit more about Jackson. He is a purebred Maine Coon, 15 years old, whom I have had since he was 7 months old. He weighs in at 21 lbs and is polydactyl on all four paws. Grooming has always been a challenge with his long fur as he would develop knots which did not come out with regular brushings. Since changing to Nature’s Feast about three months ago, his fur has become much smoother and softer and he has not had any knots develop at all. It is absolutely wonderful, to say the least! I “spread the word” about Dr. Marty’s food at any opportunity and extend a personal thank you to him for his diligence in creating such a fabulous product for our very special and much loved companions. Thank you, Jeanne

  16. 5 out of 5 Success

    Jan Zimdars

I have been trying to change Sadie’s food to a more natural one since I have had her. Just ended in soft mushy stools which is a problem when the cat is a furry Ragdoll. I have been going very slow in introducing Natures Feast. Besides using up the expensive food she was eating, it has proved a successful transition. She is a little picky about her food but the dish is empty with her begging for more.😺
