Frequently Asked Questions

Does my dog need a joint supplement?

Studies show 1 in 5 adult canines and 80% of dogs over the age of 8 experience age-related joint concerns — which can affect their quality of life.2,3 Unfortunately, even the best diet is often not enough to effectively combat normal joint wear and tear.

So if you want to help your adult dog to stay peppy and playful as they get older, a daily joint supplement is not not only beneficial, but virtually essential.

How does Free & Active help?

Free & Active is designed to help:

  • Soothe everyday aches and occasional joint stiffness so your pup can jump, prance, or simply curl up by your side with more ease.*
  • Support healthy hip and leg mobility to promote easier movement even in their senior years*
  • Support a healthy weight because when they can easily exercise with less discomfort, it’s easier for your dog to maintain a healthy build*
  • Promote youthful vitality because when there’s less joint discomfort slowing them down, they’ll go from feeling “down in the dumps” to “jumping for joy”.*

* All dogs are unique; your pet’s results can and will vary

Is this supplement suitable for all breeds?

Yes! I developed Free & Active to work for all dogs, big and small. You see, while some breeds are naturally more prone to joint problems — no breed is exempt. That’s why I made sure to formulate this supplement for every type of dog. Just stick to the appropriate daily serving (based on your pup’s weight) for best results.

Of course, we always recommend checking with your veterinarian before starting your dog on any new supplement or program.

Will this supplement help if my dog is already experiencing age-related joint concerns?

Free & Active is designed to support joint health at every stage, so if your dog is currently showing signs of joint issues, this soothe-and-support supplement can be perfect for them.*

What if it doesn’t work for my dog? Is there a guarantee?

Absolutely. As a veterinarian, I take canine joint health very seriously. So if you don’t see a noticeable improvement in your dog’s mobility, energy, or even their mood, please let me know. You can send back the unused portion, any time within 90 days, and I’ll return the full purchase price — guaranteed.

  1. 4 out of 5 Giving Colbie the best advantage - Free and Active Supplement

    Carolyn Bekampis

It is still a little early for me to comment on noticeable changes, especially since my dog is young (only 2 years old). Main reason I have had for buying Dr. Marty’s dog food and now these joint supplements is the experience with my first dog, Dakota. Dakota was a lab/beagle mix and we expected her to live to maybe 12 or 13. However, she ended up with bone cancer and died just before she turned 10. I am convinced that what we fed her and how much we fed her contributed to her overall fair health, especially as she got older (well before her diagnosis). She had become less and less mobile as she aged and carried excess pounds, which caused stress on her joints and caused her want to move less. In the end, I felt we had not done the best we could by her, even though we loved her immensely.

Since Dakota’s passing, I have been committed to be a more mindful owner with our current dog, Colbie. I can tell already that 2-year-old Colbie who is also a lab/beagle mix, is much healthier and active than Dakota was at the same age. Her black coat is very shiny and full. She has lots of energy for play and exercise. She has a great disposition, even if she occasionally gets into “trouble” around the house. I often am asked by people at the dog park what I feed her because people notice her. I am hoping that the joint supplements will assure that she remains very active, even as she gets older. It’s still early to judge its effectiveness, since Colbie is still young, but I know ease of mobility is a key to a dog’s having a happy life…and I’m committed to giving her the best advantage for good health.

  3. 4 out of 5 Seeing improvement

    PATRICIA KOLKMANN

Our precious beagle mix who is 12 years old has a pretty good size knot on one of her joints on her front leg and she was walking around on just three legs, holding the one with the knot up. Our vet gave her some anti-inflammatory med. which helped somewhat. With the medicine she at least was now just limping, but not holding one leg up. Then I started your supplement and the improvement is great. I still give her the medicine and your supplement and she is walking around like normal now, no holding her leg up and no limping. The knot is still there, but doesn’t seem to bother her near as much as it did before.

  6. 5 out of 5 Renewed activity in my senior dog!

    Yuri Smith

Before I tried Free & Active, my senior lab, Lucilu couldn’t jump into the car anymore. After giving her Free & Active, she was able to get into the car without any problem. Every morning she greets me by jumping up and down. With Free & Active, she’s jumping so high, it’s if she’s on a trampoline! So happy that I decided to try this product, because it’s brought back the youthfulness that I thought was lost in my dog.

    Judy Neill

Before we started on it, Buffi was almost to arthritic to walk. She has not gotten any worse since we have been on it, and infact, she has been walking a bit better. GOOD STUFF!!
